
Kasper’s Puppet Theatre Debut part of Brighton Fringe 2013

Kasper's Puppet Theatre ill be taking residence at Brighton Marina from 20th May until 31st May as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival.The puppet shows will be in the Theatre Tent located in Marina Square. Free parking is available to all customers in the MSCP. All seats admissions are £5.99.Kasper is a puppet fairytale show for children in the Bavarian tradition enjoyable for all the family. Join Kasper takes his audience on a journey through the enchanted forest in a race to save the King's dog from the clutches of the evil Robber!The puppet Kasper has a long history originating in Germany, he was first seen in Munich in 1858, similar to Punch and Judy. In 1920 Max Jacob created the form of Kasper which is most commonly performed today known as the Hohnsteiner style in which Kasper is a friendly character involved in traditional Bavarian fairytales. Performed by Benjamin Hasker, Kasper's Puppet Theatre is believed to be the only Kasper Show in Britain, using original hand carved Hohnsteiner puppets and translating popular stories presented for today’s young audience.Show times are 16.30 Monday 20th – Friday 24th May. From Saturday 25th May onwards, in connection with the school holidays, show times are 11.00 and 14.00 daily.
